Accepted Students Chili Cook-off

The Admissions Office and Student Bar Association of the Texas Tech University School of Law sponsor an annual Chili Cook-off as part of Admitted Students Day. The event is held in the spring semester at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. The Chili Cook-Off is part of an effort to connect new students with the faculty and current students here at the School of Law and helps incoming students to be part of our community even before their first day of classes.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and their appetites, as there is always more than enough food for everyone who attends. This past year we had over 25 entrants, and every year this exciting event gets larger and hosts more people. Of course, the chili is always fantastic and prizes are given out for "best chili" and "best booth design." Winners for "spiciest chili," "most original chili," and "best named chili" have been named as well.
