Dan Dean began working at the TTU School of Law after serving 22 years in the United States Air Force. He served in the munitions career field where he received extensive training on all aspects of the munitions field including inventory control, security, plans and programs, and contingency planning.
Dan was the first Information Technology employee for the School of Law and was responsible for setting up and managing the first network servers and over 300 client computers. He also set up the first law school web server and web site, set up the first email accounts for all faculty, staff and students, and migrated Lexis and Westlaw services from dial up connections to internet connections. Since then Dan has been actively involved in many projects advancing the use of technology in the Law School. He is currently the IT asset manager, backup support for server maintenance and security, and the team leader for classroom technology.
