Cost of Education The 2007-2008 estimated cost of education based on 15 hours per semester is about $27,000 for Texas Residents and $34,000 for non-residents. Two options exist for payment: pay in full or pay in three installments. |

Types of Aid We provide funding for more than 97% percent of our JD students through a combination of scholarship awards, federal and private loans, and work-study awards for continuing students. Additionally, loan funds that provide short-term or emergency financial aid are available. |

Eligibility Priority for scholarship aid is given to students who demonstrate both financial need and exceptional academic merit. All financial aid is subject to student eligibility, the availability of various kinds of funds and, for currently enrolled students, evidence of satisfactory academic progress. |

Schedule The academic year runs from August to August with a maximum yearly Stafford loan limit of $20,500. Initial awards are given for the fall and spring semesters. Summer applications are separate and are available online in February each year. |
