Programmer/Analyst II (Server Manager)

TTU's Law School (Lubbock, TX) seeks a self-motivated server manager/system administrator. This position serves to optimize the effectiveness of the Law School's server and network resources. Position is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, managing and providing leadership for the server and network environments supporting the School of Law. Primary duties include writing, analyzing and maintaining documentation, deploying new technology, troubleshooting and correcting server and application problems, performing updates and backups, managing the Law School's application, file, print and web servers, and serving as the vendor contact for most server-based applications. The position requires professionalism, customer service orientation, the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships within and outside the School of Law, strong written/oral communication skills and support the Law Library's strategic plan. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Active Directory, group policy, server virtualization, network communication concepts, problem solving skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Digital Projects Student Assistant

The law library is hiring a Digital Projects Student Assistant for summer/fall 2012. 2Ls and 3Ls are eligible to apply. Work hours are flexible during regular business hours 9am-5pm M-F. Competitive pay. The student assistant will report directly to the Digital Information Management librarian. Experience with scanning documents is preferred but not required. Must be reliable and pay meticulous attention to details. The position is open until filled.
