The Texas Tech University Law School Library in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a self motivated system administrator to manage a range of servers and systems, including Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, in a predominantly MS Windows Server 2003 environment. Must possess a high degree of professionalism, customer service orientation, and the ability to interact with all levels of staff, law students and law faculty. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, server virtualization. General understanding of network communication concepts. Electronic Databases Through the Law Library's electronic databases subscriptions, our patrons have access to over 150 electronic databases, journals, and sites, including BNA, Hein, Lexis, West, and more.

Information Technology
The Law Library provides nearly 400 computers that allow law students to access
full-text legal databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Loislaw). IT services helps maintain wireless network access throughout the building, power and ethernet connections to all classroom desktops. In addition, the presenter's station in each classroom offers a number of other features aimed at enhancing the educational experience of the student. |
