Fang is very dedicated to digital preservation and information services. Prior to working for the law library, she was a doctoral student at the Florida State University College of Information and served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. While at FSU, Fang also served as a Digitization Project Assistant at the Claude Pepper Library. To enrich her experience and expertise, she has interned for the National Library of China as a Librarian and for FSU Strozier library as a Special Collections Librarian.
Fang earned two bachelor degrees, Bachelor of Management in Library Science and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, both from Wuhan University (Wuhan, China). She received her Master of Science degree in Information Studies in 2006 from FSU. Fang is in charge of all digital projects and oversees the digitization and content management workflows. Her primary responsibilities include implementing, building and managing the digital institutional repository along with its policy and procedures and assisting with bibliographic control matters. She also provides reference services and teaches legal research classes.
