Before joining the law school, Dean Perez was the Development Coordinator (2008-2010) and Director of Admissions (2004-2008) at the University of Idaho College of Law.
As Development Coordinator at Idaho, Perez assisted with the school's fundraising efforts, including visiting donors, drafting pledge and endowment documents, external communications and marketing, and coordinating alumni events. He created the College of Law alumni magazine and was a member of the University's Publications Group.
As Director of Admissions, Perez directed the law school's admissions, marketing, and recruitment endeavors including evaluating applicants, managing and awarding scholarship funds, and designing and maintaining the admissions website.
Perez served on the Executive Administrator, Diversity, and Climate committees at Idaho and represented law students in the University Academic Petitions process. He was the only non-faculty member of the Second Century strategic planning committee charged with researching, planning, and implementing the opening of a branch campus of the College of Law in Boise, Idaho. Perez served on the 2008 LSAC Newcomers Workshop Planning Group – a committee in charge of programming and planning for the annual workshop to train all new law school admissions professionals.
