Before joining the law school, Dean Doss practiced law with the Lubbock firm of Nelson & Nelson. Her experience includes insurance defense, insurance coverage, banking and bankruptcy/creditor’s rights. While in law school, Dean Doss was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review, serving as a Staff Member and Articles Editor, and was a Regents Scholarship Recipient.

Dean Doss previously served the law school as Director of Career Services. She currently serves on the following committees: Admissions, Judicial Clerkship, Dean Search, Presidential Management Fellows Selection, Career Services Center Student Committee. Her past committee service includes the following: Strategic Planning, Liaison to Law School Visitors, Website, Student Services.

Dean Doss is licensed by the State Bar of Texas, US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. She is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement. She served as a speaker at the 2009 and 2010 NALP Annual Education Conferences and has been a contributing writer to the NALP Bulletin. Dean Doss is an active volunteer and serves on several community boards.
