Message about Military Recruiting
In its recruitment and employment practices the U.S. military considers factors in violation of the Tech Law non-discrimination policies. Moreover, Association of American Law Schools (AALS) believes that allowing the military to recruit on campus is inconsistent with the AALS principle requiring member schools to pursue a policy of equal opportunity in employment practices. Nonetheless, AALS has authorized member schools to permit military recruiters on campus, provided that this notice of conflict between AALS policy and military recruitment practices is provided to students considering interviewing with military recruiters. As a member school, Texas Tech supports and adheres to AALS policy.
