Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree in United States Legal Studies

Located in Lubbock, Texas, the School of Law is part of the Texas Tech University system, which takes pride in being a major comprehensive research university with more than 100 master's degree programs and over 50 doctoral programs.

Program Description

The two-semester Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in United States Legal Studies at Texas Tech University School of law is designed for graduates of foreign law schools who are interested in a formal program of study of the U.S. legal system. LL.M. students will be enrolled in two specific LL.M. courses: Legal Research and Writing for the LL.M. Student and Introduction to United States Law. LL.M. students will be allowed to enroll in most courses offered in the J.D. program. The American Bar Association has acquiesced in the establishment of our LL.M. Program, and the Program has been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
